I Spent Ten Minutes Looking for the Glasses on My Head
We laughed about it. But afterward, I kept thinking about why it bothered me.
I was already running late when I realized I couldn’t find my glasses.
My keys were by the door. My wallet was in my pocket. All I needed was that one last thing.
So I checked the kitchen counter. Nothing.
The coffee table. Nothing.
Then I started digging between the couch cushions like I was looking for buried treasure.
My wife walked into the room, watched me for about three seconds, and pointed at my head.
There they were.
I’d been wearing them the whole time. Just a few inches higher than usual.
“Well,” I told her, “at least one of us was ready to leave.”
She laughed. I laughed. Of course we did.
But it stayed on my mind
Finding your glasses on your head makes a good joke. Spending part of your morning looking for them gets a little old.
Especially when it reminds you of the other little moments.
Walking into the kitchen and standing there, wondering what you came for.
Having something to say, then losing the word halfway through the sentence.
Picking up your phone to do something, seeing a notification, and completely forgetting the original plan.
The part that bothered me wasn’t the glasses. It was having to stop and retrace my steps. Again.
I didn’t want every misplaced thing to turn into a big worry. But I didn’t want to brush off something that was bothering me, either.
Here’s the moment that started this story
I started with something simple
A place for my glasses. A place for my keys. Reminders for things I actually needed to remember.
Nothing exciting. Just fewer opportunities to make leaving the house a scavenger hunt.
I also decided that if these lapses kept happening, got worse, or started interfering with my day, I would talk with a healthcare professional. Guessing wasn’t going to give me answers.
Then I got curious about the options
You see plenty of memory-support supplements when you start looking into this.
I wanted to get past the headline and see what was actually being sold.
What’s in it? What does it cost? What evidence is there for the formula? And could it interact with a medicine?
I wasn’t looking for somebody to promise I’d never forget another thing. I wanted enough information to decide what was worth asking about.
If you’re curious too, the presentation below is a place to look at one memory-support supplement and its offer details.
Read it, take your questions with you, and make your own decision.
